J.K. Holsteiner Stud presents Equine Stud Solutions.
The J.K.Holsteiner Stud has started a branch called Equine Stud Solutions which is New Zealands first fully mobile breeding unit. It contains it's own Laboratory for analysing & processing semen, a portable phantom for teaching the stallions to jump and a crush for safely artificially inseminating and scanning the mares. We offer the discerning stallion owner the chance of working with their stallion on their own property. Firstly to collect fresh, and chilled semen, and later in the season the ability to have the semen frozen for future insurance. We have over 25 years experience in handling fresh and frozen semen.
Last year we had amazing results in using 25yr old semen. We also come with 40 years of horse handling experience, breeding and training young sport horses, we are well experienced in the handling of stallions of which we had 7, 5 of which were imported also 200 young horses and broodmares. We offer personal training and small group lectures. We design stud layouts and build and sell lunging arena's, breaking in arena's, crushes, phantoms, and supply all equipment for collecting and chilling semen for A.I. Our technicians are Keith Atkinson and Jessie Jones. Jessie is an expert horse handler and has handled numerous stallions, including riding and handling J.K.Latano from his breaking in stage to his sale to Tielcey Park. Also Jessie handled J.K.Latano in his first seasons of serving for Tielcey Park, she now has 3 years experience of serving and A.I. and has taken a very keen interest in the technical side of the business, which is a great assistance for Keith.
